As a journalist Rhyannon contributes words to i-D, Broadly, ELLE and Sunday Times Style magazines.

British newspaper, ‘The Independent on Sunday’ earmarked Rhyannon as ‘One to Watch’ under its annual ‘Rainbow List’ in 2015 and now Rhyannon is widely considered one of the UK’s most predominant writers and speakers in the LGTBQIA+ community.

From 2015 – 2017 Rhyannon was ELLE UK’s transgender columnist, documenting her transition from male to female. Under the title ‘The New Girl’, Rhyannon filed 32 column entries and created 4 videos with ELLE TV. The video ‘Sister, you’re a lady now’ has been viewed over 140,000 times on YouTube.

The New Girl column and media exposure catapulted Rhyannon into the spotlight, and in 2017 her memoir ‘The New Girl: A Trans Girl Tells It Like It Is’ was published by Headline.

Rhyannon is a performer and theatre maker. Her solo and collaborative projects have been regularly presented in cabaret, theatre and live art contexts since 2005. Styles is a company member of ‘Carnesky Productions’ appearing in all shows since 2008.

Rhyannon is currently studying for an MA at the Universität der Künste in Berlin, on the ‘Solo Dance Authorship’ (SoDA) programme.
