Rhyannon Styles is a writer, performer and sound meditation practitioner.
British newspaper, ‘The Independent on Sunday’ earmarked Rhyannon as ‘One to Watch’ under its annual ‘Rainbow List’ in 2015 and now Rhyannon is widely considered one of the UK’s most prominent writers and speakers in the LGTBQIA+ community. As a journalist Rhyannon has contributed words to i-D, Broadly, Stylist and Sunday Times Style magazines. Rhyannon was a columnist at ELLE magazine from 2015-2017.
In 2017 Rhyannon published her first memoir, ‘The New Girl; A Trans Girl Tells It Like It Is’ with Headline. The follow-up ‘Help! I’m Addicted; A Trans Girl’s Self-Discovery & Recovery’ was published in 2021 by Jessica Kingsley Publishers.
Rhyannon is also a performer and theatre maker. Her solo and collaborative projects have been regularly presented in cabaret, theatre and live art contexts since 2005. Rhyannon graduated from the Universität der Künste in Berlin, with an MA from the ‘Solo/Dance/Authorship’ (SoDA) programme in 2020. Rhyannon is currently a member of performance collective Mineralwasser.
